3rd generation engine change question...
Can a carburated (A20A1) engine/transmission be dropped into an Accord with an EFI (A20A3) engine? Both transmissions are automatically, and I would be changing both engine and transmissions.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated (an EFI engine is not an option, so it's switch or junk car)...

without changing most of the other components associated with the motor, no... you'll need the fuel lines as well as a bunch of other things to make it all work. Why is another EFI motor out of the question? You should be able to pick one of for $100-$200. The carbourated motor has less power too, 98 hp versus 120.

As a former 3rd gen owner I can say that www.3geez.com will be a much better help to you than this website.
