Default Time slip madness

So the story begins...last night I decided to do my part in keeping guys from racing on the streets so I talk them to going to the track and while there I decide to run myself......

My first time and I decided to use my old 13s with some old 185 70 13 with about an eigth of an inch of thread.

Mind you this is my first time...so first run .....
(no scanner or digi cam)
react ----- .576 (pure luck...I actually thought I red lighted)
1/4 time -- 16.906
1/4 mph -- 63.17 (honestly didn't know when to stop...way too early)

Second run
react ----- 1.746 (fell asleep)
1/4 time -- 16.634
1/4 mph -- 58.96 (yeah I'm a dumb ass for not asking how far to go)

Third run
react ----- .661 (awake !!)
1/4 time -- 16.03
1/4 mph -- 89.61 (getting better but spun all of first which caused me to bog 2nd gear...also learned when to let off the gas hehehe)

Last run
react -----.844
1/4 time 15.098
1/4 mph 90.87

Now I am very satisfied with the last run because I think the car has much more potential.. I know I can break into low 14s and maybe even 13s(I'm an optomist)...for a couple of reason..
1) shitty shitty shitty tires....
2) I learned how to launch on my last run
3) My cat is clogged ( chocking to death) Gonna get a high flo one this weekend.

There was also an EG coupe with a b16 (no LSD) NA running high 13s to low 14s..... on drag radials......

Well that was it... just wanted to share...and please give me your opinions on my desire to run high 13s....(with drag radials)

My setup is on my sig.........
I'll try and find someone with a scanner so I can post my first ever (kinda krappy) time slips :bigok:

Thanx man I'll probably be out again next thursday early so I can get some more practice.....
In the meanwhile I'll have to look for some dot approved drag radials for cheap.....

Didn't know when to stop? :wtf:

Sounds like you're at a POS track.

last run was pretty good.. get some drag radials and practice some more and I'm sure you could get pretty good. 15's are decent for b16 NA

MY 60' times were:

1st run : 3.309
2nd run : 2.440
3rd run : 2.823
last : 2.281

And since I'm new to the whole drag racing thing, I'm not sure how these times measure up......

Hmm...I kinda wish I was down there(wait a minute, no I don't). Well no drag strips here. Not one unless I take my happy ass all the way to NY or even NJ. Do you know if you know who's b20 crx been out there at the track.
