Default cooling fan problem

okay here's the problem...
i just put a h22a into my 94 prelude si this weekend. it started up great and everything works except when the car is running, the cooling fan doesn't run even with the heat on high. when i shut the car off, the fan kicks in and won't stop until i pull the relay. i don't know what's causing this. would anyone have any suggestions about it?

the fan wouldnt come on if you turn the heat to high...unless you turn your A/C on...turning the heat to high helps cool the motor down so the fan doesnt need to come on...

since the car senses the motor temp after shutdown, it's likely your fan temp switch is bad. the temp switch is located at the head, under the dizzy if i remember correctly. this is what monitors coolant temp and signals to the fan relay.

i thought the fan switch was located on the radiator? either way, its definitely the fan/thermo switch
