Default how to change alternator belt?

how do you remove the alternator belt on a 95 integra? it seems to go around some engine mount at the bottom of the car. i can loosen the alternator and slip off the belt, but i can't remove it because of the engine mount, or support or whatever it is... help

The 'main' engine mount is higher on that end of the engine, that doesn't have to come off. You can put a jack under the oil pan (with a piece of wood so you don't bend it). Then remove that mount & have at the belts.

We're in the same boat man. I went to change both my A.C. compressor and alternator belts this weekend, I saw that mount there and was like AHHH...WTF!?! Any info/suggestions on this would be most helpful. (Although I could just buy a shop manual...hint hint)

Like what jimblake said, after you have the oil pan held up you just unbolt the mount on the side, all 3 bolts on it, then you can jack the engine up just enough to get the belt out.

remove the two 14mm bolts that hold the lower tranny mount to the frame, then undo the 17mm nut. pull the mount off and you should be able to work from there.
