Zishan, explain to me why i-VTEC is needed? I really don't see the benefit on SOHC engines, since they don't have the "harsh" VTEC engagement like DOHC engines do.

well because it would have added torque at lower rpms...plus likely the engine would be dohc.

correct. but take the non-vtec engine and add vtec, and youll have a lot more power. take the vtec engine and take out the vtec and you'll have a lot less. get it?

SOHC VTEC...Single Cam. Just like all the other J engines.
