Default Thinking about picking up a prelude...some advice?

Ok here's the deal. I found my way on to this forum because I was originally planning on picking up a 94-95 Accord to play with. After looking in the paper this week I found no really attractive Accords but there is a 92 Prelude for $3,500.

Now, I'm not new to the automotive scene, but I am very new to the sport compact scene. I've been reading these forums like mad trying to get reasonably educated on these things, but frankly...it's going to take a while.

At first I was pretty excited to find the Prelude and then I got to reading. I'm a little discouraged that the 92's didn't come vtech in America. So...what engines am I looking at getting in this thing? Are they decent engines at all or am I gonna have to look at doing an engine swap before to long?

What advantages/disadvantages to you see in an 94 accord v/ 92 prelude?

If there's anything else you can tell me about these cars and/or recommondations that you could give I would very much appreciate it. It's fair to say that I'm out of my element here...so any help would be appreciated.

Thanx guyz

Well im assumin the 92 lude is an "S" not an "Si" since the price is 3500. The engine is a 2.2L non VTEC. It kiks out 135 hp and 142ft lbs of torque. This isnt bad at all cuz the 92 lude isnt outstandingly heavy. The accord also has 2.2 L and kicks out 130hp and 139 ft lbs of torque. the accord is heavier than the lude so the lude will handle alot better, especially is the accord is a 4 door. The lude seems like a good buy if the mileage is reasonable. I would personally go for the 92 lude. it was an amazing car for its year, and even now u can even give some cars a close run.
