speedometer off about 5 mph...
alright, well my speedometer is off like 5 mph. does anyone know if there is anything i can do to fix this or anything. or do you think i need a new vehicle speed sensor (vss)?
btw, i do have aftermarket 17" rims, but i don't think this would make a difference. this isn't a huge deal, but it would be nice to know exactly how fast i'm going. thanks :happysad:

Bigger wheels and lower profile tires may be close, but they are never exactly the same as the stock size wheel/tire combo. As a result, your speedometer will read fast if the wheel/tire is smaller than stock and it will read slower if the wheel/tire combo is larger than stock. There's no real fix for it, so it's something you have to live with.

the speedometer is calibrated for the diameter of the stock wheel and tire only. shivers is right, it cant be changed if you change your wheel and tire configuration.
