i just looked for the article and can't find it on their site or reuters...it was in a small article (reuters i think) which the NHTSA recieved complaints from the early honda powered Vues and they required some work done to the subframe (i think the problem was the engine bent the subframe and tilted it up slightly) - GM may have fixed this and did a TSB on all early models and got around a recall
same thing saturn did with the early cvt equipped Vues and Ions - no recall but warranty work was very common (this was caused by several problems - software glitches, bad parts, faulty hydraulic pump, and other engineering shortcomings)
