Sqeaking noise when gettin off first gear.
Hi All, wondering if anyone know what this problem is. Sometimes when I get off first gear my car sqeaks not too sure what it is coming from... seems like it might be something related to my clutch? Right as I get off my clutch when it is grabbin the gear there is this squeakin noise. Its annoying and I want to know what it is... help!!!
BTW.. driving a 2000 base lude 5spd... with about 50k miles..

TO bearing maybe. That sounds like what it is, but thats a little pre-mature at only 50k. Change the tranny oil, this is a good precaution no matter what it is. If that is the case, no need to worry thats pretty common as trannys get older. JUst change the oil and keep an eye on it.

one of my friend who is a mechanic told me not to touch my tranny oil.. he said that shit doesn't really need to be changed.. tranny oil is full.. yet squeakin noise still persist.. only happens in first gear... nobody else has the same problem?? guess I should get it checked out then eh?

its definitely your release bearing, mine does that sometimes. i find that it is dependent on the way your driving the car, or whether the clutch/release bearing are getting worked over. like in traffic.
