Maybe minor clutch problem
I just bought an exedy clutch on ebay, and by chance I started running part numbers on the net, go to find out the presure plate (HCC908) is the right part for the 92-96 ludes with 2.3. But the clutch disc (HCD806U) is 224mm in size and is for the 97 acura cl, but the stock size for the lude is 220mm. The question is, will the extra 4mm make a difference in fit eventhough the pressure plate is the correct size. Just want to make sure before I tear the engine apart to find out that the fit is incorrect. Or could this be a bonus and have more surface area for extra hold power. Thanks for reading.....

i went thru 2 stock clutch's in a year, both exedy's, both new.
cracked both sprung hubs, friction surface was fine on both.
too much torque i guess
or too much beating
anyway, when i bought those exedy's online they named fitment for the CL and prelude, so i would assume i bought the same clutch as you.
unless they sent you the h22a clutch instead of the h23a1 clutch.
assuming they are different...
because i used my h23a1 flywheel, h23a1 tranny, and i bought kits for the h22a...
exedy, exedy, ACT
all of em fit fine and ive had no problems other than cracking discs with hard racing
btw ACT street disc has 18,000 and hasnt cracked yet.

I also thought it wouldn't matter, all you ever see as a sales gimmic is just about all f and h series clutch are interchangable. I also have a stage 3 ACT clutch in my lude but the disc is too harsh for my wife, it shutters alot so I am just going to use the exedy disc and act pressure plate, I should get the smoothness of engagement and the extra holding capacity. Also my throw out bearing is starting to squeel so it about that time to fix these problems.
