Default best Lowering Job For $1g

I have about 1000 to spend on equipment to lower my car. I just dont know the best job that i could get, i dont want a bumpy ass ride. I want it nice and smooth, i kno it wont be perfect but i want the smoothest ride I could get for that price....

i have a 5 gen base stick

i was thinkin the TEIN COILOVERS ? i want about a 1.5 drop - any suggestions?

and i heard i might need a camber kit for the front?
would i need a camber kit for the front or back if im lowering my car only a 1.5 inch???

You did say that you want a "smooth" ride. Take a look at Neuspeed Sport springs (1.7"F/1.5"R). The drop is right where you want to be and with the Koni "yellow" sport shocks a great overall ride. That is what is on my 99 Base and they work for road and HPDE. You will even have money left over-assuming you can find a deal-to buy Camber kits, which you will likely need.
BTW: The CRX is on Konis and Skunk2 w/custom rates.

koni yellows with H&R sports.... 1.5" drop very smooth ride have that very setup on my car... and you will have enough money to buy a progress rear sway bar if you wanted so that you could stiffen up the rear a little more for track and auto-x days

I have tein SS coilovers on mine and they ride pretty smooth and make the car handle a lot better. I highly recommend them

Quick question! I've got a 99 sh and it's got koni yellows with neuspeed sport (greens). I was in a accident and went 4x4 in the lude. All cause of that damn deer. I bent all my wheels and this caused shock failure. My car has since been fixed but the shocks didn't fail until after I got it back from the body shop. Everytime I look at an application chart it says excludes SH for shocks. Someone help me out here what shocks / springs will work on the sh. Basically if you've got lowering springs you can use koni yellows! What else will work, insurance is going to adjust my claim but the shop needs to know what part number for the 99 sh to order.
