I'm finally getting new suspension, brakes, and tires for my 90 civic wagon. I've got $500-600 to spend on the suspension, and i can't decide what setup to choose. I know most of you guys don't have wagons but most of you DO have aftermarket suspension, so i'd like you're advice anyway. also, if you have suggestions of other brands/models, please post them.

what are you plannin on doing with the wagon...plans..drag, autocross, daily....it kinda makes a difference

just daily, but i want really sporty daily driving. i plan on swapping in a more powerful engine/tranny (160-190hp) within the year. i also think the top-heaviness of the wagon might need to be taken into consideration. i don't want to feel every bump, but i don't want it too soft either.

as far as neuspeed goes, if enough people recommend them, then i'll definitely consider them. most of the options i put in the poll are what i have seen on other people's wagons.

I'd get H&R race or Eibach Sportlines with Koni Reds. The only problem I have with Koni reds is that in order to adjust them, you have to remove the shock from the car. It can get kind of a pain. But otherwise they're better than any shock thats in your range.

I wouldn't use GR-2's or Tokico Blues with any race spring. You'll get inefficient dampening, basically the ride will feel pretty crappy and bouncy.

I don't have a wagon but I'm running Neuspeed Race and Tokico Illuminas on my 90 civic si.

It depends on the spring rate of the springs but Agx's warranty doesn't cover the shocks if their dropped on a car more than 1.5". But many people have gone well over 1.5" without any bottoming out problems so don't worry.

I have GR-2's w/eibachs (prokit) and my ride is as stiff as can be. It's great.
