money is the factor
we've had threads on this before.
its possible but rather expensive and there is also no less than several heavy modifications for engine mounting, axles, etc...

If you can put an H22 into a Del Sol, you can put into a 3rd Gen. Prelude. Just know that its going to cost a bit for it all to work properly. If you have money, then anything is possible

unfortunately not
the del sol is directly based on the EG era civic engine series. dropping an h22 into a EG hatchback is something you can do in your driveway with some effort.
the 3rd gen ludes used a special B series motor, that is different from other/newer b series motors. this is mainly because the 3rd gen prelude was still the blossoming flower of the time. the h22 was being prototyped for production around 1990. in 1992 it hit the mainstream jdm market in japan with 197HP. the prelude body was obviously redesigned with the new generation.
the NSX was the first engine to have VTEC in the 1989 jdm model.

you CAN put H22 or H23 in a 3rd gen. requires custom mounts, ECU swap, and other little items. write ups can be found on preludepower.com
or, get a JDM b20A- direct stock bolt in for your current engine. but has 15 more horses than USA stock.
