Cam gear adjustement ?
Hi,
I just got my timing belt done today at Honda and I had them put an adjustable cam gear on the intake cam shaft, the seller told me to advance it 3 degree. He said because I was stock, except for the cold air intake.
Is this the perfect degree for a stock Prelude SH H22a4 ?
Thanks for your help, I don't want to blow my engine off !

advancing it 3 degrees shouldn't blow up ur engine
I would leave it alone until i can get it on a Dyno
then cam tuning can be done safely with the mods on ur car
hope this helps

I had bought cam gears on ebay, but the seller just sended me one,so now I'm stuck with only one adjustable gear. So the seller told me to put it on the intake cam shaft and he said I don't need another adjustable gears because having one is like having two. His he right ???

Or you could just order a second one for the exhaust side. All you are really doing without having aftermarket cams in there is changing your power band. At 3 degrees advance it probably feels stonger on the bottom end and you don't feel as much on the top end. At least that's what mine did anyway. Have fun playing with the cam gears. If you have the instructions for the gear you can adjust it yourself if you know your way around a set of tools
