Default 1st "race" against a Honda.

I thought it was an LX or EX Civic sedan, but as bad as I killed it I guess it was a DX. It was well over halfway through second gear.

There are no good Hondas running around here.

The only Hondas around here are crappy ricebois with 500 lbs of body cladding on their cars, old women in Accords, or worn-out POS's that barely move.

I'm tired of running '99 and up Eclipses -- which, oddly enough, are in abundant supply and always eager to get dusted by me. I want to race the mighty VTEC Civic.

What are the specs on the 2004 models? I looked up the 2003 and it said 140hp and 145ft-lbs @ 2692lbs. I hope they improved since then.

I wish I could own the streets in a mighty Saturn.... go out prowling for Civics and shit.
Joking aside, go to just about ANY track on either coast and there will be TONS of stock + bling-bling civics for you to race. Believe me.... I've had to wait in HUGE lines behind them whenever I've gone to the track on test&tune days.

And if you actually do go to the 1/4.... drive AROUND the water.

Saturn used the 3.5L V-6 from the Pilot in their SUV. The specs on the ION havent changed since 2003 they are still 140 HP and 145 Tq.

Interesting... they never show up at Sacramento. I usually go to "Grudge Nights" (Street cars, all heads up, no eliminations) and there will be three or four imports there with 300-odd pony cars. If I take either of my cars, I'm usually one of the slowest vehicles there... (Unless I take the truck, I usually go when some friend wants me to drive their car a couple of passes, so I take one of the cars so I don't just have to stand around the rest of the night).

Hey, if I had a faster car, I'd prowl for faster prey. :fawk:

My Ion, despite having only 140 HP, ran a best of 9.93 in the 1/8 when I took it. That was with a no wheelspin and a good run through the gears. My average time was like 10.05. Other people with Ions tell me they have trouble getting under 11 seconds, but I'd have to try really hard to get as slow as 10.1.

I'm thinking I can take a VTEC Civic, since I can pull a V6 Eclipse by at least 1/2 a car at 80 MPH, and that's with a bad launch.
