Default 98 GSR sedan pulling to the left

This is a recent problem. It is not related to braking, but is sporadic. I drive sometimes and it just sort of pulls to the left, I don't think I have ever noticed it while braking, usually when driving a steady speed, straight ahead. Not making any noises or vibration, have not noted it at freeway speed, generally at 40-50 mph around town. I had a cracked CV boot on that side about 50 K miles ago, hit a pothole, notice grease and got it checked out that day. I am thinking that would make the CV joint on that side wear out faster, is this a plausible explanation and would these symptoms be consistent with a worn CV joint? More familiar with transaxle pushin rather than pullin from my experience with the aged VW

Your alignment is probably off.

I am rotating the tires on Saturday, will get the alignment checked then. Have not hit any thing at all recently. I would think if it was alignment it would be a constant problem, not sporadic. Nice driftin tricycle by the way

over time, the toe settings on a car's suspension gets out of whack, which is known to cause the symptoms you speak of, tobra. if theres not extra vibration, and since you said you hit a pothole (people hit potholes all the time, but on lowered integs etc, potholes wreak havoc) its probably time for an alignment, like the others have said.

Actually, I misled y'all a bit. The injury to the car was over a year ago, and of course I had an alignment done then. I think my symptoms may be a result of letting my wife drive it

How does the treadwear look on your tires, you can get an idea of whats going on by how they've worn since the last alignment. Post pics if you want?

Treadwear is even, it only has been driven about 100 miles since this problem started, getting alignment checked tomorow, will update

if it's just doing it sometimes, it could be just the section of the road you are on at the time.

Since it's been a year and you had an alignment I would think the alignment is still good, which is confirmed by what you said about the tire wear pattern.
