Default H22A Swap Into An Integra - im doing this swap and want eveyones input on it

i'm doing an H22A, most likely an OBD-1 which is a 92-95 i believe, swap into my 99 integra ls since the obd-2 h22a security is very tight. i will get the whole swap, engine, tranny, ecu and hopefully a full wire harness. i also going to purchase the hasport EGH1 mount kit for this swap. it says i can keep my power steering but i also want to keep my ac. i heard it is possible to keep my ac?? i can also get information from hasport on what axles to use so i don't need info on that. waht i am really wanting to know is if this swap into my integra will be a good daily driver AND DEPENDABLE. ths is my only car and would like to drive it around town day after day, show off this huge motor, and then again race some dumbass at a light everyonce in a while. i was hoping someone would read this who has done the swap and had it in for some time in their integra. also can you guys give me some info on what problems you ran into doing this swap into an integra. i'm not sure if it would make any difference if it is a 94-97 or a 98-00 integra so. anyway just please post porblems i will run into and if this swap will last me a long time as a daily driver. thanx!!

I wouldn't do it. Yeah its cheaper in the short run, mostly because the h22 can be had easily under 2 grand, while the b18c is just under 3k fully loaded, but you're throwing off the cars weight distribution, and you'll most likely break a few axels in the process....not to mention your handling will instantly decrease in mobility.

but hey what do I know.

if you are getting axles from hasport like you said, you will be fine.

You'll be fine...until they snap.

I've already told this story over in the Del Sol board, but I knew a H22 Del Sol driver at College Park who broke something like 4 or 5 axles in one year, all on normal driving. While his case is a bit extreme, just know that it IS possible.

I've heard that it will throw off weight distribution, but then I've also heard that it is about the same weight if you decided to turbo a b18.

anyone have an answer to this myth?
