Default 1/4 time accurate???

I got one of those acceleration timer things. Its a Beltronics FX1. Well anyway I set it all up and i ran a few times on this deserted street and this is the best time I came up with.

My engine is bone stock. Anyone think these numbers are accurate? I have 1000ft 1/8 mile times and 330ft and 60ft times as well

my average horse power between 35 mph and 55 mph (second gear) is on the left and the peak horse power and the mph it occured is on th right. Now these numbers are supposed to be whp. I know that the flywheel on this car gets 140. So i am wondering if those numbers are correct. I entered the curb weight a little over what the door jam sticker said to compensate for me and my system. I know i cant be putting that kinda power to the wheels. it seems too high.

yeah that sounds about right for an LS. 2.4 is a decent 60' time...yeah I'd say its fairly accurate.

also, you might wanna read the manual to see if its giving you whp, or flywheel hp. :dunno:

they do offer a correction feature but if you have the number set to 1 its supposed to give you whp. the way you get the horsepower from the flywheel is to divide the dealer rated horsepower by the hp you get when its set at 1 and then change the 1 to that number so for example lets just say i was really putting down 136 hp and the engine is rated at 140. I would change the hp correction number from 1.00 to 1.03 and if i did the identical run it would give me 140 hp instead of 136. Follow me?
