Default Carbon Fiber Hood?

I have had a question that has been bothering me for a long time. Doesn't it not make sense to put a carbon fiber hood on an Integra? Because it's front wheel drive. Wouldn't that mess up your traction. I mean wouldn't you get better traction with more weight on your front end? More traction = more speed? Or am I missing some key fact that totaly kills my theory?

the motor has to pull the weight of the car, which is effected more by the hood than the traction. if your theory were true then people would like add weight to the front of their car, which is ridiculous

99.99999% of people who buy carbon fiber hoods do it for the "look" anyways.

Exactly...its definitely NOT for weight reduction.

Theres a billion things that you could do that would be more effective than losing 15lbs from your front end.

my hood weighs "almost" 10 lbs...when its filthy dirty.

my stock hood weighed in at almost 40 lbs.

its only 30 lbs to some people, but that was an easy 30 lbs for me and i like the way the hood looked (now its just faded and ugly ) and i used to have the entire rear of the car stripped to the metal too. but those days are over and now my hood is just there because i lost my stock hood :exnbp:

Well, no of course not, but it seems like that if the weight is there then why remove it?

So most people just do it for looks, that answeres my question. Do you people who have carbon fiber hoods notice any traction reduction?
