the other night i was bidding on this and at the last second i was outbid after me and this guy were going back and forth
it sucked
such a ****in steal

Actually you might want to consider yourself blessed.

If you don't know who did the porting I wouldn't trust it. Guy might have done it himself with a dremel in his backyard.

for that amount, you could have JG (a pro) do your head for you, in fact, cheaper. $190 for their 3 angel valve job mild port job.

What type of gains can you expect after getting that done?

gains with port work are up in the air and dependant upon your previous modifications etc, just as with any modification. But let's say that with the right mods it'd be about the same as adding an intake or something along those lines. Add to that a camshaft and you have potential for 15-20hp.
