There is no such thing as b16c. B = series engine 16 = 1.6 liter I forget what the last letter designates but ehh someone else will add to that.
Basically a camshaft is a shaft that has lobes (oval shaped things) on it and it pushes to open and close the valves in the head. I guess you don't know how an engine works...

hondas engine codes usually are pretty simple say b18c5
the b represents the series of the engine , usually, b,d,h,k, are the common honda tuner's ones.The 18 after that represents the liters or displacement. 16= 1600 cc or 1.6 liters, 18=1800 cc or 1.8 liter and so on.The c represents represents the engine itself, and usually the higher the letter the more power, b16a,b16b,b18a,b18b,b18c, .The last letter is the revision of the engine a b18c5 is a revision of a b18c,. Just like b16a2, is more advanced then the original a1, i believe j spec has 10 more hp and a hrydro tranny.This is pretty basic stuff in the land of honda's.Write it on your hand too learn it all!

It's a lot of memorization is what it is. It gets easy after a while.
Sometimes an engine can have two different codes, be nearly identical with only one tiny difference. Sometimes going from a "B" to a "C" means it is a completely different engine. You have to memorize your engines.
Examples:
B18A -> B18B, it's virtually identical.
F20B -> F20C, they are completely different.
