lowering springs and insurance :(
i was discussing the installation of lowering springs with my mom and she was okay with it until she talked to this mechanic who does repairs for our insurance company. He told her that most of the time new springs will cause a lot of shaking and instability in accords. He also mentioned that my insurance may not cover me if i get into an accident without using stock springs. Is this true or should i just get some nuespeed springs with like a 1.5" drop? I dont think it will make that big of a difference but i just wanted some opinions on this.

I don't know how true that statement your mechanic made. I've NEVER heard of anybody's insurance giving them shit over a lowered car. If lowered right, there should be no "shaking" of the car.

yeah just make sure that you spend a little money the right way and there will be no shaking I know I just finished putting my neuspeed sports and my kyb agx shocks on and its a great ride!!

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. They would have to prove that your lowered suspension caused the accident. You're just making your car handle better.
Shaking and instability, lmao... All I had on my 5th gen Accord were Nuespeed Sports, Tokico blues & Nuespeed upr strut bar, 17s and it's like night/day compared to stock.

Springs will cause better handling, but possible lesser ride quaility compared to stock depending on the spring brand/rate. But definately not shaking and instability.... usually that comes from not doing an alightnment right after lowering the car.
Insurance usually doesn't give a shit about aftermarket parts on the car, as long as they are taken off after an accident, of it is damaged, they will probably pay for em too.... :dunno:

MOST insurance companies (like GEICO) dont give a sh*t. they just want to know so that they know risk of theft. (thats what GEICO told me) in other words, adding mods raises the risk of theft.
