Default 1.7 EL - over rated?

How reliable is the 1.7 EL? My friend has a 2001 Touring model and is keeping him busy with repairs. He had both front suspensions replace twice in 2 yr., gas gauge sensor replaced. Now the front windshield cracked “stressed line” better known as defect.

Anyway, he thinks Honda car is over rated just like to know what ya all think?

I own a 2002 Touring and had it for about 2 years and 2 months and no mechanical problems at all.... the only interior problem i have is in the winter the dash bourd and side panels make a lot noise when it's cold

I think your friend ran over too many potholes and curbs.

My goodness, he must have hit some serious stuff...You have to remind him, he's driving a car, not a TANK...
