Default Inside Door Latch

Anyone tried taking the inside door latch out? If so, do you need to bend the rod down on the switch and the handle (94 EX Coupe).

the rod attatches to the the handle. There is just a hole in the plastic on the handle that the end of the rod slides into. I am unclear on what you are asking. You don't need to bend anything.

The latch itself. You just have to pull the black pin, and then slide the latch off. Is that right?

However, I'm not sure how to get the lever off. This is what I'm calling the lever:

The backside the lever is held in by the rod. The rod is U bent. Can you just slide it off???

pull up on the rod, and it should slide out of the lever. Your handle is different than my 92 ex sedan.

Can't really pull up. The rod is U shaped around the hole on the lever. Do I bend the rod so that I can pull up?

on mine, there is also a plastic clip that holds the rod down that needed to be taken off.
