Burning oil
I changed my oil about 3,000 miles ago on my honda civic hatch. I was driving fast the other day and my oil light turned on. I checked the oil dipstick and it was dry. My car has no leaks. how can i tell if it is burning oil. I know it was time to change the oil, could this be the problem? Please Help!

Yeah my Integra did the samething only I blew the motor !
Look for smoke coming out your muffler .
And everyday beating on your motor like I do will burn your oil as well !

Dude, my civic was doing the same thing, I ended up putting a new motor in it. When it was taken out the number 3 piston was all ****ed up. It must f had bad rings or somthing. You definalty want to check it out. put your finger in the exaust and see how much carbon that comes off. I got my oil changed in like a week it went dry and my oil light came on. hope this helps

I would have compression test done to see if you are loosing anything past your rings. Your valve stem seals could be going bad too.
