Default What's the best way to make steering harder to turn?

This is my first post, so if this is old news bear with me. I suppose going with a larger power steering pulley would make the wheel stiffer. The wheel is too easy to turn and has no road feel. What are my options? It's a 1999 with the 2.2 liter motor.

How about taking out the entire P/S system? Might help the engine put out more power. However, have fun try to turn when you aren't moving...

Put very heavy wheels on your Accord, remove power steering, and put some weights on your steering wheel.

I suppose if your a wuss it would be hard to turn the wheel.

I have been without my power steering for over a year and don't miss it at all..yeah it takes a little work at a standstill to turn the wheel but you get the slightest roll going and all resistance is gone.

The resistance is perfect especially if you like to do a lot of cornering...with power steering you don't truly get the full feel of your car and its handling potential.

haha! I guess I'm a weakling, because yesterday I was turning the wheel from lock to lock in my garage when taking my bumper off, with the engine off.

What would be neat is if the P/S had a clutch assembly like on the A/C. Make it computer controlled, and a wimp like me can still turn while standing still (P/S would be barely used anyways )
