What's the best way to make steering harder to turn?
This is my first post, so if this is old news bear with me. I suppose going with a larger power steering pulley would make the wheel stiffer. The wheel is too easy to turn and has no road feel. What are my options? It's a 1999 with the 2.2 liter motor.

How about taking out the entire P/S system? Might help the engine put out more power. However, have fun try to turn when you aren't moving...

I have been without my power steering for over a year and don't miss it at all..yeah it takes a little work at a standstill to turn the wheel but you get the slightest roll going and all resistance is gone.
The resistance is perfect especially if you like to do a lot of cornering...with power steering you don't truly get the full feel of your car and its handling potential.

What would be neat is if the P/S had a clutch assembly like on the A/C. Make it computer controlled, and a wimp like me can still turn while standing still (P/S would be barely used anyways )
