Default Stripped Head of screw

I'm trying to remove the center console. I got one out, but the second one seems fairly stubborn. I ended up stripping the phillips head on it. Any suggestions on how to get it out? I can't really grab a hold of it due to the location (these are the two screws under the access cover directly underneath the parking brake).

Yeah, i've already tryed the flathead. Didn't work. It just rounded it out more.

If I use a pair of pliers, I would have to come at it from the top as it is recessed into the trim. I can't turn it very well plus it is a round head which I can't grab onto very well.

I'd use a flathead that's just too big to fit in there. Use a hammer to punch it down into the screw and twist.

If that doesn't work and you can't get a wrench of any kind in there (not even vice grips? ) you may want to drill it and use an easy out, but that's pretty extreme for that little screw...

Maybe try an impact driver with a big head on it. Looks like you may have stripped it too bad though. Try plyers

Alright, went and tried the larger screwdriver. Didn't quite work out.

I went ahead and tried the vise grips. Didn't work.

I've got a bolt extractor. Here comes the stupid question. What direction do I set my drill to? Forward or Reverse?

I could have tried the impact driver, but the head is too stripped out for the impact driver to fit in.
