Default H22 swap....handling affected?

I would love to swap a H22 into my Civic coupe. I would do it, but I'm kinda concerned out it affects my handling.

How would it affect my handling? Steering? Would it make it impossible to autocross? I would be upgrading my suspension to one of the following:
Tein with EDFC
Apexi N1
SSR C1 Group 'N' Spec

Do I loose PS/AC?

Are there any problems that I should know about? Axles?

EDFC not allowed in SCCA soloII except maybe prepped class?

which is filled with cars that are tube framed

and it probably will affect handling negatively.

I'm not planning on racing autocross...but I don't want sloppy suspension either.

Will it affect handling enough that I should consider a differnet swap?

What can I do to negate the affect the xtra weight I would gain?

ground control makes a kit specifically for civics with swapped engines, including h22's.

actually search honda-tech
someone actually weighed the differences between a b16 and an h22 and found the differences in weight to be only a couple of pounds difference!

Yes, the weight difference between an H22 and a B series is not that much and can easily be made up via lighter compontents...

It wont affect your handling anymore than having a semi-large friend sitting in the car with you...and even that can be changed by getting lighter stuff like a Carbon Fiber Hood...all the hype about H22s being monsterous engines in BS....

Snoopy: Thanks for the link...I was thinking of going with either Tein or Apexi full coilovers.

Dubs: I already have decently light parts...and if 50lbs is the only difference, I can deal with that

I'm leaning toward a H22/turbo :naughty:
