Default Next step: Engine and Turbo

Well, I'm going to be selling my D16z6 motor and Greddy kit soon, so my engine bay is going to be empty :naughty:

Here's what I'm thinking for the motor:
B20b...bored to 2.2l, sleaved, pistons,rods...fully built.

OR

H22a...sleaved, pistons,rods..etc...maybe bored to 2.4l...

Basically, I'm looking to get in the 500whp range. I want something mostly for the track, and the occasionaly "sunny day drive".

Whichever motor I decide to go with, its going to be fully built.

Suggestions?

I will be running InlinePro's Stage 3 turbo kit: Precision T4 turbo(don't have the exact specs), InlinePro fuel rail, 1000cc injectors, external fuel pump and filter etc....

Anyone want to give advice or tips?

Anyone have experience with 400whp B or H series motors? John Lee at Inline said a B18C1 with a headgasket, Hondata, and their Stage 2 kit, will put out 450whp. I don't want to risk it with stock internals, so I'm gonna built it.

Snoopy...hmm....didn't think of that. Would 2.1L still leave enough wall thickness?

Of the 3 motors I mentioned...which would be best to build and turbo? LS(maybe LS/Vtec), B20(B20b?), or H22(a....a1?)?

I am doing a LS/VTEC swap and wouldnt recommend it, been nothing but heartache, its turning into a real engine tho ^^ if you dont mind bugging people constantly for answers to your lsvtec questions then Iwould do a lsvtec swap.. I dunno itsup to you ^^ lots of questions.. heh

Dubs: thats the same thing I was thinking...but I don't just want it to be good in a straight line...but I'm also not building a x-cross car.

Yea I know what you mean, I had (might still have) an oppourtunity to buy a totaled prelude with a running H22 in it for 1700 bucks, but I am still debating it with all the hassles such as converting the shift linkage, getting new axels, and getting expensive motor mount...I mean it's doable, and I am still debating it, But i don't have much experience....I want a car that car take corners as well as/or better as it can take off in the 1/4...

Yea...what are the hassles? Thats what I was hoping to get from this post. I know I'll need the following:

Engine
ECU
Tranny
etc.... but I've heard I'll need work on the:
Shift linkage..Hasport or Place Racing?
Axles...driveshaftshop.com I think?
Half-shafts...? Same for axles?
Mounts....I'm sure Place racing and Hasport can help me there.

What are the hassles with swapping a H22 in a EG.

Hasport can help with about everything...I think you need axels from an accord and half-shafts from a teg or something, I duno for sure...Also, an H22 has no shift linkage, so unless you can get the whole shifter mechanism from a prelude, it's a pain to convert...The motor mounts run around 500 bucks...So other than The axels/shift linkage/ and the mounts there is no hassle:naughty:...

Talk to H22Avid, he has done the swap, he can really help you out...

**EDIT: you also have to pay hasport around 200 bucks to make a wiring harness...unless you can do the wiring urself.....:dunno:
