Default 92 civic Transmission Questions

I just traded my stock interior for a 92 si hatchback tranny.
now what are my options for a long block, cause i wanna do somekind of swap now (i have a 95 civic cx hatch)
the dude said that the tranny was 400 when he bought it!
Is there anything to look for with this tranny also?

when and if i order a long block, will i get the clutch?
thanks guys!
good trade or not?

You just won't quit with the D-series will you. I would recommend a D16Z6 long block if your going to get anything that make your life the easiest. Depending on who you buy the motor from, it may come with a clutch/flywheel or it may not. If you plan to keep the motor for a while, I'd consider upgrading the both of them while it's all apart anyway.

i got my z6 out of a 95 si it also came in all ex and si's from 92-95 it has 125 hp and like 112 ft lbs i think may be wrong. 1.6 vtec I like it I have I/H/E right now but will be boosting it come March so I will be selling I/H/E to replace with new custom cat back and turbo components. Mine came with wiring harness and ecu for 850 but it only had 50 k on it.

D16Z6 is from a '92-'95 EX/Si hatchback. 125hp and 108ft/lbs I think (don't remember the numbers specifically). If your in the mood to have fun, you can save the exhaust manifold off your CX (if you still have it) and make an adaptor plate to mount a turbo. Need to make a custom downpipe and find an IC and piping along with a fuel managment setup. If you find parts cheap you could have a pretty inexpensvie turbo. Inexpensive usually equals blown up so I'd be careful and save your old motor as a backup.

I've seen complete D16Z6's for $650-$800. I figured you can find a long block and ECU for probably around $500 or so.

my buddy has an stock turbo and intercooler off of a 99 eclipse, he said he will sell me for 60 bucks!

he said the turbo might need a center cartridge, it has some shaft play!
how much would it cost to get the center cartridge done in it?(im thinking its more than the turbo is worth) h:

If it has some shaft play I'd say skip it. If you can get a 14b off of an older DSM that way you can have a lot of tuning options since the turbo is easily interchangeable (16g, big16g, 20g,etc.)

If you can't find a d16z6 for under 400, walk away and go for a B.
