Default Please help - 2001 Civic Check Engine Light

Yesterday I got a new stereo installed in my car at Best Buy. On the way home I noticed that my check engine light was on. I tried going back but they told me it wasn't their fault. I'm 99.9% sure that it never came on until after the installation. Does anyone have any idea what I should do? Thanks in advance

Take it back and talk to the manager. That shit is messed up, especially when those ass clowns won't even cop to it.

I'd ram it down their throat and become a thorn in thier side, bothering them every day until they fix it. If the local shop won't do anything about it, call the corp. hotline. I'd take it up to Mr. Best Buy himself if I had to.

I don't let that kind of crap slide

Does anyone have any idea of what they may have done to cause the light to come on? They seemed to have no clue yesterday. Maybe if I told them specifically what they did, they'd be able to fix it? Thanks again to anyone who can help.

I'm not sure how to check the CEL on a 7th gen, but here's a DIY that works on the 5th and 6th gens:
