Saw the most amazing thing at the races
There was this 1 ton Dodge 4X4, snorkle stickin out the hood and a 5 inch pipe stickin straight up behind the snorkle. Stupidest looking vehicle I had seen in a while, but he had a 12.7 dial in, so I thought, hmmm. He lines up against some late model camaro, gets the light and throws a 12.1:jawdrop: Second fastest car driven there, behind the Z06 vette on the bottle at 11.9. Went with my buddy in his 455 olds, he was runnin14.925, 14.950and 15.005 on a 14.9 dial in, not bad. Saw a NSX run low 12's, and an ITR run a 14.2. Had fun, will have to take the teg next time:naughty:

Which track?
I haven't seen any fast turbo diesels at Sac, but I was at Sears one night and kinda chuckled at this guy in a jacked up extended cab 4x4 Dodge spooling it up at the line and blowing black smoke all over creation... but I stopped snickering really fast when he launched! I couldn't believe something so big would come out of the hole so fast. He went on to run a 12.70.
I talked to the guy afterwards and he said he launches in 4WD and slaps the transfer case offline when he shifts to second. He said it's really inconsistent but makes for a helluva launch when he gets it right. I'll say!!
