I have a 96 GSR right now, and I was interested in getting the ITR front lip (either OEM or aftermarket) but I was wondering if my stock front bumper would be able to hold it. Has anybody added the lip to their 94-97? or would I have to change the front bumper entirely?

Homie its all good. I have a OEM Type-R lip on my 01 Teg 4 door and it looks real good. I don't like the aggressive look so i'm going to keep it simple and clean. I would advise you to pick one up

Im not sure about this, but comptech might make a type r lip for the earlier models.

You'll either have to find an OEM lip from a 97 ITR(fat chance on that one), or get one of the Comptech ITR lips for the 94-97 tegs. A 98-01 lip will not fit....unless you swap out the front bumper and the headlights with 98-01 ones. Hope this helps ya.

For a 97' you'd most certainly have to get Comptech's 97' ITR front lip. However, I've heard that the comptech lip fits poorly in general (compared to OEM). One of the members on this board even trashed his comptech ITR front lip and got an OEM one. I'm sure if you mold it on it'll look/fit fine, but most people who do a bolt-on/tape installation complain about the fit.
