GS-Rs run low-mid 15's stock...I don't know about the other models (RS,GS,LS,SE) if they had i/h/e, I would be guessing high 15's/low 16's. I know nothing about Ludes, but a 2nd gen. non-GS-R teg has 130 hp. 3rd gens have 140hp. GSRs have 160 hp in 2nd gen and 170 hp in 3rd gen.

Alnen, he said he only had 3500 lol. He won't be getting a GSR with that. Don't even look at 3rd gen Ludes. They are fugly! As for 4th gen Ludes (92-96), I like the looks alot. BUT, you probably won't even find a decent 92 for 3500. 4th gen Preludes:
S Coupe (130 hp), SI (160 hp), SE (160 hp/only made 94-95) VTEC (190 hp). If you were to find a good deal on a Lude it would only be an S Coupe or SI. S Coupes are heavy pieces of **** and very slow(mid 17's with a good driver). SI's are usually faster than Integra LS's but it almost always comes down to the difference in driver skill because they are so close in characteristics. SI's do about a 15.9(good driver) and a Teg LS is low 16's or 16 flat(good driver). If you can find a 4th gen Lude SI for 3500 TAKE IT!!! With a good driver you can be doing mid-high 15's with I/H/E. As for Tegs, for 3500, you will be looking at 90-93's (2nd gen). I'm pretty sure the 93's are slightly faster than the 90-92's. So if you can find a 2nd gen Teg LS for 3500 make sure its in good condition and with I/H/E and a good driver you should be doing mid-high 15's. Personally, I would look on Autotrader or local newspapers for someone selling a 92 Prelude SI or a 93 Teg LS. If that falls through, I would look at older 2nd gen Tegs and you shouldn't have a problem getting one for 3500.

What mods do you have? A stock SI only does low 16's.

ur not going to be hitting 15s in a 90-91 prelude unless you squeeze nitrous.

get a 90-93 Integra RS... GSR's are better but costs more, so if u cant get the quickest, might as well get the lightest (if speed is your goal).

Don't even look at 90-91 Ludes. Like I said before, they are FUGLY!! 4th Gen Lude Si's do a 15.9 with a good driver and should do mid 15's with basic bolt-ons. You might be able to find a 92 Si for 3500. Preludes are generally pretty expensive though. That's why I've been leaning hard towards a Teg LS.

I was looking at hatchbacks. The SI was the only one I would even consider but it's a little too small for me. But you're definitely right, the driver makes a lot of difference. By the way, what year is your SI?
