Default b18c1 head questions

My friend has a 94 GSR head w/ 148k miles on it. He is buying a new motor and is selling his head to me for practically nothing. Should i buy this head? i wanted to do a low compression ls/vtec setup so i could bolt on a turbo set-up afterwards. Does ls/vtec work decent w/ low compression pistons?? And is this head worth using, becuase of the milage, and it has had some wear and tear.

GS-R heads and blocks have always been hard to come by. There's no reason you shouldn't pass up this offer...well unless he blew it beyond recognition.

Low compression pistons will work just fine. the smaller combustion chambers of the GSR will give you about .5 higher compression than pistons with an LS block/head combo.
