woah that was quite a spin!

at least you didn't end up with 2 lbs of find dirt inside of your car like my neighbor :chuckles: took him near 3 hours to vacuum that stuff up

You can't see it in the video but I had to take a deep breath and hold as the dust settled inside my car. My whole dash had clumps of dirt and the rest of my car looks like I went dirt bogging

Bet that'll teach you to force your car to transition in the opposite direction when you lose traction

You can shift going into a corner, you just have to be SMOOTH SMOOTH SMOOTH on your clutch and throttle inputs. Any sudden change in your weight transfer for the corner [how big the change doesn't really matter] is going to really shake up your day

ehheh i've done that several times but i'm shifting around 5K instead of redline and from like 25mph

i don't feel comfortable shifting at redline as the cars rear end steps out if i try to shift at redline and i've spun a few times that way :rick:

The other problem I forgot about was that there was pavement grooves between each section of the run way. You can see it better after the slalom. It kinda dips. So that prolly upset the car too.

Looks to me like your biggest problem was that you were a little narrow for that right-hand flick, started drifting to the cone wall, then tried to turn left for the next section. So you cost yourself a DNF where you may have only collected 2 cones or so.

The video didn't really show a dip in the pavement, but I know the kind of surface runways are, so you were only allowed about half the grip you'd be used to on a good parking lot, and at that speed, it just looks like you entered too narrow for the exit size of the gate, IMHO.
