Default ATTN: people who use K&N ru2820 filter.

this is an universal filter for the integra. however some mods must be done to the stock filter or stock intake arm for this to fit correctly. does anyone know what to do? i tried a search but the links were dead.

thanks.

The RU-3130 is the only "universal fit" K&N that I have heard of fitting.

The 2820 has a 3 inch diameter flange instead of 3 1/2 inch.

I used the 3130 by:
1. removed the stock filter element (paper and metal) from plastic flange
2. dremeled off remaining glue
3. installed new filter with hose-clamp for security

This show the basic DIY

Even though there is a drop in available (E-2427), it's about $70.
I like the 3130.
