4-Door GSR?

Default 4-Door GSR?

I will be looking to buy a Teg in the next year and was aiming to get a 94 LS. I wasn't even considering the GSR, because of extra insurance and cost, but I saw a 95 4-Door GSR in the paper with 80 thousand miles for only 6 grand. The insurance might even be lower than the LS, and the cost is great, but I'm not sure how 4-Doors rate on performance. A 4-Door GSR has to be faster than a 2-Door LS, but how much extra weight do they carry? I'm not at all crazy about 4 doors but if it's faster and cheaper it's worth consideration. Does anyone know how a 4-Door GSR compares to a 2-Door LS in insurance(same year)? Also, how are they in performance compared to the 2-Door LS?

that is an awesome price, but I would say check it over thoroughly before buying. I got my 94 last summer w/ 89K miles for $6500 (and I just payed it off this week!!! :yay: )

Why would you rather have a 4-door gsr over a 2-door? If it has the same engine (and I'm guessing it does) than the 2-door is faster.

Insurance is always cheaper on sedans... well, maybe not if it's a m5 but general rule of thumb.

1st gens were also available in the 5-door hatch version.(at least in 88-89, not sure about 86-87 when they used the 1.6 DOHC in them). My roomate used to have one, and it was the best car to get stuff in and out of. Great flexibility! 4-door sedans showed up in 90.

I just bought a 95 LS coupe, I wanted a gs-r but couldn't find one in a decent price range. I love my coupe, but SOOOO wish I could have even found a LS sedan. 3rd gen 4-doors rock! I don't carry many people around for a reason.

The 94-97 GSR coupe weighs 2667 lbs, while the 4 door weighs 2765 lbs. http://integra.vtec.net/geeser/specs.html
If you get a 2-door and carry around a hot, petite 5'1" girl with you all the time, your car will weigh the same.

4-door Integras own. :thumbup:

Stock for stock, a 4-door Integra gsr will be faster than a 2-door integra LS. Handling is also up in the air, as the longer wheelbase of the 4-door is rumored to make the car better balanced.

I would take a 4-door gsr over a 2-door LS. 4-door gsr's are also pretty rare, so you have that factor going for ya also :thumbup:

Insurance rates should be lower for the sedan, although the 170-hp vtec motor might bump it up to around the same level as a 2-door LS. I'm not entirely sure though...
