Default odd noise in the front drivers side

okay starting about three days ago every now and then i hear what sounds like something stiff letting loose and it makes a knng noise....haha, hard to impersonate sounds with a keyboard. anyways i'm thinking its my front drivers side shock (tokico blues with eibach pro kit springs, been on for a little over 2 years). i'm hoping its just a shock getting old because it seems to happen when accelerating or decelerating. but it doesnt happen that often. i just upgraded and i'm running 9lbs of boost so i really hope its not something in the engine. oh i'm running rich with the timing retard as low as it can go so i should be running this boost safely. this is a '98 civic ex by the way. tell me what you guys think.

I'm thinking it's probably your wheel bearing.

Does it sound like a metal on metal sound? And it's related to you giving it more gas, and less gas?

If it was the shocks I'd come when you went over bumps and stuff, and you can usually tell when you have a blown shock.

I'm gonna have to put my money on a wheel bearing.
It's about the only moving piece in the wheel well.

It could be the axle but you'd notice a weird ride with it, if it was the axle.

Someone may have more info.

If you stab the gas, does it go "knng" and then let off the gas and it goes "knng" again? Real quick right? Mine did that and it was the motor mounts SHOT!
