Default Raising Compression?

I just got a hold of a mugen head gasket for my R ...it will raide my compression from 10.6 to 11.01...i knwo theoretically higher compression makes more horsepower..can i expect any gains with this mod? If so how much? thanks in advance

youll prolly have to raise octane to 92 or 93, but you can expect a little power gain i think. im planning on raising my gsr to 12.3 pretty soon.

Good choice with getting the Mugen gasket. As stated above, you will have to be careful about detonation. See if you can get gas with a few points higher octane rating. I would strongly suggest running at least 93 octane just to be safe. I know that the car has a knock sensor that automatically retards timing, but still, better safe than sorry. I don't know how much power you'll get in return for bumping the compression, but I hope you get some decent power out of this.
