Default Type R Head on GSR

Ok so I am going to put a type R head on my 00 gsr motor. The head comes with vtec sylinoid, ctr cams, head, and all other internal parst needed for the head. I was wonder if my skunk 2 intake manifold and all other parts will bolt right on and if the head will bolt right to the block.

Please let me know anything that should be known with this convertion. Thanks

What are the benefits on a typical Type-R head on a GSR?

Well It has a factory port and polish over the stock GSR, Plus it comes with the ctr cams and higher lifting valves. The cost is $1889.00 free shipping, but my friend is buying my gsr head so I will only be paying 889

I think it should give me a good 20+ Hp not sure on tQ

you will drop your compression to about 9.8:1 with stock pistons by putting that head on. your skunk2 manifold will not fit.

why not just buy the internals of the head and put it in your gsr head?

Is that the only main difference between the two engines? One being hand port and polished?

Why will it not fit. I thought that the manifolds where for all b-series motors.

between which two? b18c5 and b18c1? the heads are completely different, different more aggressive valvetrain, different rods and pistons. and some other things.

the bolt pattern for the intake manifolds are different between the b18c1 and b18c5/b16 heads. why do you think skunk2 came out with the single runner i/m for the b18c1 head? for the people who wanted the itr i/m but didnt want to custom modify one to fit.

no need. the skunk2 manifold is basically just a copy of the itr manifold.
