Default rear brake removal

97 integra rear brake removal.
I removed 2 12 bolts and 2 14 bolts from the main brake system. I removed 2 12 bolts that was holding the cover in place. But it does not want to come off what else do I need to remove?

What exactly are you trying to remove in the first place? To remove the pads, just remove the lower caliper mounting bolt and swing the caliper up. You may have to loosen the top caliper bolt to free up the rotation.

To remove the caliper, remove the 6mm flange bolts that are holding the caliper shield in and remove that. Then remove two 10mm caliper bracket mounting bolts and slide the entire caliper assembly off the rotor. Hang it with a wire clothes hanger or sturdy twine from your spring. Be careful not to bend or kink the brake line hose.

Next will be the 6mm brake disk retaining screws on the rotor hat. Those are a pain because the potential to strip them is high!. I take them off with an impact wrench and a screw-type socket. Your rotor should pull straight off then.

I don't know of any locking mechanism on rear brake assemblies.

If I'm correct, the parking brake is attached to the rear calipers. As such, when you remove the caliper, you are also removing the parking brake, leaving the naked disk sitting there, ready for removal. I'll verify with my Helms when I get home.
