need someones imput. looking at a gsr motor swap. a place near me can do the swap for 4000, including labor, etc. but they can also do the b16 swap for 2800 or the h22 for 5000. what would you do. i like the gsr, but i could always use a second opinion

Yea the GSR is the best from what u listed, but if you want another option...I'd go with the LS motor, its cheaper than the GSR (almost as cheap as the B16) and you get more torque, but less hp (than the GSR), and if your planning to do a turbo in the future, the LS has lower compression which is great for turbo....and that would have wayyy more hp than the GSR...just a thought

No, it is all about having fun with the car. Learn to do it yourself so that you can laugh and cry with the building of your car. If you have kids (or are one), it can be a bonding experience.

:werd: It took me a while to do my swap, but I love the fact that I did it with just me and a few of my friends. It sucks when stuff goes wrong, but the end product is awesome...great feeling of accomplishment. Plus if you know anything about cars and can get your hands on a manual, you could use that left over loot from not payin somebody else to put some power into your motor.....my 2 cents.

The gsr swap is a pretty good deal. But I also agree with everyone else you should buy a swap and put it in yourself. IMO some swaps are easy as hell it took me about 5 hours to put the b18c1 swap in my hatch.
