Default tranny q's

whats the difference between a LSD tranny and the one that comes with most swaps, and is an LSD worth the extra money???

An open differential (normal diff) lets torque take the easiest path to the ground. Generally this means that you get one-tire-fire (one axle spins more than the other) either at launch or around turns.

A limited slip differential (LSD) counters this effect by joining the two axle's movement via a mess of helical gears inside the diff. By doing so, torque is biased more evenly and traction loss due to wheelspin is greatly reduced, which translates into better launches, and less throttle on understeer through the turns, better grip exiting turns, and a big grin on the driver's face Definitely worth $300 IMO.

beats me, I don't drag race. You shouldn't just "dump" the clutch tho.

If you want a LSD with your B18B, you'll need a separate transmission(not the tranny that came with the B18B). You'll need either a JDM tranny that came with the LSD (it was optional in Japan) or an ITR transmission. LSD was optional on japanese B16As... So just look out for that when youre shopping for a tranny.
