Default Edlebrock turbo kit.

I was just reading an article where they praise the shit out of the edlebrock turbo kit saying it's the best kit they have tested. Why is this kit only available for the D16Y8 and not the D16Z6? Ijust think they are cutting themselves out of a big market. I just can't think of any reason it would'nt work on a D16Z6. Anyone have this kit?

The edelbrock kit is designed w/ and internal wastegate. This setup reaches max eficiency around 200 whp. It would require redesign on the turbo, etc. to build a dohc kit. You'd think they'd make a dohc kit before the release of the sohc kit.....

true that... so, i've been debating. but thus far, i haven't heard much peeps on han that have gotten it or anything of such. i wonder how well it works... cuz for 3700 and have it legal... that would be good deal except that it's quite expensive. perhaps i should wait till price drops.

The most recent issue of Super Street (August) has an article about the turbo and even gives a 44 step by step picture instructions on how to install it, they say msrp is 3495 ( i know not much cheaper) and the source is edelbrock.com

Ha, you guys need to do a search. Where do you think all the turbo D-series guys hang out? The turbo d16 forum (www.turbod16.com). The guy in the mag posted his car pics on there. Here's the link:

haha that's pretty weakass....1 less psi than me and he's only pushing the same whp and 33 less pound of torque to the wheel and it comes with an intake manifold, complete fuel setup etc etc? Not to mention my turbo is way smaller than the one they are using, but hey ball bearing ownz
