I think you guys are being quite harsh with your comments without fully knowing what happened to the car. You don't even know if it was the owners fault the car caught fire. jdmeg6hatchy said the car was pretty quick, and I am guessing thats what the owner of the car was aiming for and thats what he did. And from the looks of the first picture he did a pretty decent job.
He did have quite a bit of work done to the car, and there was a lot of after market stuff on the car which could have malfunctioned even some OE equipment accidents happen. For all you know the alternator could have shorted out setting the harness on fire and spreading from there.
Personal opinions are great to have, however to attack someone like that is plain wrong, and complete the opposite reason why these forums are here. I am quite certain that he did not intentionally set fire to his type r.
