Default Coolant By-pass/with pics.

Just finished the coolant mod 2 the TSX. It took much longer 2 find the damn fitting then it did 2 do the by-pass. I couldn't find a 5/16 fitting so I used a 3/8 brass elbo and 5/16 vacuum plugs. The elbo fit perfect nice and snug! I also bought new hose clamps but the fitting fit so well I didn't need them, I just used the stock clamps. U can c the one valve closed off and the other is right below the throttle body. If any1 needs pics of where the outlet coolant valve is let me know and I can shoot some pics of that as well. Here r the pics below let me know what u guys think.

Your throttle body has coolant running through it. this is to prevent the throttle plate (see the first pic) from freezing or getting stuck in colder climates.

if you bypass the coolant running through the TB, you'll have less heat running through the TB and the air will theoretically be cooler. combine this with the intake manifold gaskets from p2r or hondata (or both) and you're basically slowing the spread of high temps making the air traveling through your engine hotter, and it'll help your performance.
