wash= dish detergent (ive heard its really bad for the paint, but my dads used it on his 745li and all his other cars hes had and hes never had a problem, he says its very mild and shoudlnt hurt paint)
That strips the wax even faster than it does by itself. The best waxes only last 30-60 days. Paint sealant may last up to 6 months.

wash - 1/2 times a week
high-speed polish - 2 times a year
Wax - 2 cots every month

Using microfiber towels to remove waxes, polished, glazes, sealant - will prevent swirl marks.

For a nice shine without the high-speed buffer, try washing - clay bar - meguiars show car glaze - wax or sealant.

Using a random-orbit buffer speeds the process

Also, twice a year i remove my wax coat with simple green and start new, or i do that if i want to try a new product or do some buffing.
buffing removes any thing on the surface . . . . simple green will damage certain metals
