the stock type R motor is the B18C5 which comes with 195Hp i dont have any idea about this "other engine" your talking about.

Geese!
type r's only had b series motors in them i thought. Cause i'm pretty sure the K series didn't come out till after they stopped making the integra......well before it was renamed the RSX

ya i thought that they came with the b18 aswell but i found this on a website...
"July 2001: An updated version of the Integra Type-R (DC5) is launched for sale in Japan and USA. The special color of Championship White celebrates Honda’s first victory in F1. The DC5 Integra Type-R is powered by the K20A 2.0-liter DOHC i-VTEC engine with 220 bhp and a new 6-speed manual gearbox. The suspension adopts clever front suspension and reactive-link double wishbone rear suspension. The Integra Type-R is also equipped with Recaro front seats, a leather wrapped MOMO steering wheel, aluminum pedals, aluminum shift knob, exclusive aero parts and Brembo front brakes"
and what about the quarter mile times?
P.S thanx for the quick reply.

been there done that
integra's kept their name everywhere except north america where they were renamed rsx. the dc5 itr has a different engine than ones found in a usdm dc5 rsx-s.

K20a in 3rd Gen Integra
What's the chances of a K20a fitting into a 3rd gen Integra? I'm sure someone could mold body mounts for the engine, but I'm talkin straight swap, no mods, is that even fiesable? (sp?)
Or, would I be better off just building a B20/VTEC?
Thanks.

The DC5 Integra Type R never came to the US, hence it's excluded from this forum.
Also, motor swap questions should be directed to the ENGINE SWAPS forum.

hasport and hybrid racing make mounts for k20 swaps into dc chassis'. at the moment, the swap is still very expensive, $6-8k on average.
